Caring for cats is our passion
We are Rebecca and Nigel Robson and have been running Cosy Cats since 2015. As ardent cat lovers, it was a lifetime dream to have our own cattery and were delighted to achieve that goal
At the forefront of our minds is the care and comfort of our feline guests! Being a small cattery, we get to know our guests and their little foibles well. Our aim is to provide a home-from-home experience so that they return home happy and contented.
Rebecca works full-time at Cosy Cats and has an Advanced Certificate in Feline Health and Welfare, awarded by International Cat Care. Nigel works part-time at the cattery alongside other business and volunteering commitments. We also have regular help from Shalon who has been involved with Cosy Cats for a number of years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Over the past few years we have implemented a few new procedures and we were pleased to receive a five-star rating from dover District Council Licencing Team under the 2018 Animal Welfare Regulations
If you have not placed your cat with Cosy Cats in the past and are considering booking a holiday with us, we invite you to come along and view the accommodation prior to booking. Just contact us and we will be happy to agree a mutually convenient time for you to visit to see whether this is the accommodation you would like your cat to stay in!
Boarding Facilities
Cosy Cats offers clean, spacious chalets, each with thermostatically-controlled heating in the sleeping area and a well-ventilated exercise and play area. We have two accommodation blocks:
- The “Penthouse” chalets are large enough to accommodate two cats.
- The “Walk-in” chalets are large enough to accommodate up to four cats and are especially suitable for less mobile cats as they enable one-level accommodation if required.
Each block has a safety corridor to prevent any attempts from budding escapologists. Most chalets look out over our garden so that our guests can enjoy watching the variety of local birds visiting the bird feeders.
We provide beds, bedding, food bowls, water bowls, scratch posts, litter trays and toys. However, you are welcome to bring your own clean bedding or something that is familiar from home to help your cat settle.
We offer a wide range of the most popular wet and dry cat food varieties. Prescription and special diets must be supplied. We will administer medication at no extra cost.

Cat Taxi Service
(collection and delivery for Cosy Cats clients) for a small fee to cover petrol costs.
Vet Visiting Service
for clients who are unable to get their cats to their vet for their annual checks and boosters.
Home Visiting Service
for cats who are nervous of staying in a cattery or for shorter breaks.
Small Pets Home Visiting Service
- rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, tropical fish, hens etc.
